CONSULTATION CLOSES ON 02.08.21
The Boundary Commission for England is currently consulting on proposed new constituencies, the proposal will affect Leire.
As required by law, the 2023 Boundary Review will increase the number of constituencies in England to 543, and every constituency must contain between 69,724 and 77,062 electors - which will ensure each MP represents roughly the same number of electors. Under the proposals for a reconfigured Harborough constituency, the present South Leicestershire Harborough District wards of Broughton Astley South & Leire, Broughton Astley Primethorpe and Sutton, Dunton, Lutterworth East, Lutterworth West, Misterton and Ullesthorpe would join co-terminus with the rest of the Harborough District area.
