September Parish Council Meeting

Due to unforeseen circumstances the Parish Council will not be quorate to proceed with the Parish Council meeting on 14th September 2021 and all business will be postponed until the 12th October 2021 at 7.30pm in the Village Hall.

Boundary Review Proposals

CONSULTATION CLOSES ON 02.08.21

The Boundary Commission for England is currently consulting on proposed new constituencies, the proposal will affect Leire.

As required by law, the 2023 Boundary Review will increase the number of constituencies in England to 543, and every constituency must contain between 69,724 and 77,062 electors - which will ensure each MP represents roughly the same number of electors.... Read More »

Postponement of May Parish Council Meeting

The coronavirus legislation that enabled Parish Council to meet virtually expired on 7th May 2021 and has not been extended by the government.Therefore, the Parish Council is no longer permitted to meet virtually and the meeting scheduled for 11th May 2021 will not take place as planned and will be postponed.We are waiting for further advice from Leicestershire and Rutland Association of Local Councils... Deferral of April Parish Council meeting to 22nd April 2021

We apologise for the late notice, but due to advice received from NALC late today, the meeting scheduled for Tuesday 13th April 2021 has been deferred until 7.30pm on Thursday 22nd April 2021.

Following the ruling from NALC it stipulates that the country went into morning on Friday 9th April and at least 3 clear days before a meeting of the council has not been met as we cannot use the day's of mourning.... Read More »

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is to be made for the following location: Little Lane, Leire.
